American by birth, global by inclination, I divide my time between Bali and Melbourne. I have written for The Australian, worldhum.com, The Melbourne Age, The Brunei Times, The Big Issue, The Washington Post, Traveler’s Tales and others. I write feature articles for The Jakarta Globe.

I started out by winning a Lonely Planet travel writing contest and shared Runner-Up in the North American Travel Journalists Association Awards for Best Travel Series in 2007.
